Every July for decades members of Good Shepherd have traveled to the mountains of Central America as participants of Honduras Good Works http://hondurasgoodworks.org

Medical professionals volunteer their services in response to about 3,000 people seeking medical attention; non-medical volunteers translate, engage the children, help to construct buildings in one of 20 villages being serve.

This year (2017), Father Paul and at least one member of our congregation, a woman who is a nurse, went. along with the pastor of a church in Palomas,Chihuahua, a nearby border town. His son went too. This group plus a local EMT whose mother goes to Good Shepherd, joined a large group of other Americans who went. The medical aspect and the spiritual one were both effective!

See this sermon from Father Paul for more about it.
