While we are updating the website, this page is a good place to keep an eye out for what is going on. We’ll have more of a calendar soon.

Some Events To Look Forward To

We’ll have a float in the 4th of July parade here in Silver City, NM

From July 18 to 26, Father Paul Moore, along with Pastor Angel Garibay and his son Roberto from our sister church in Palomas, Chihuahua, Mexico, (and perhaps some other people) will be going to Honduras with a group our church has been involved with for close to a decade. There will be a Commissioning Sunday service for this on July 16.

On Sunday, August 6, we will celebrate Education Sunday, with the blessing of teachers, students, and the backpacks we will be gifting.

On Sunday, August 13, after the late service there will be a dessert auction to raise money for the medical assistance trip one of our members is making to Vietnam in the autumn.

On Sunday, September 10, we will have Rally Day during the coffee hour. This will be in the Parish Hall, and a variety of groups will have booths and sign-up sheets. The emphasis will be on caring for the Family of God at Good Shepherd. Expect to see tables featuring the choir, acolytes, readers, the Altar Guild, Daughters of the King, the Brotherhood of Saint Andrew, Eucharistic Ministers, Eucharistic Visitors, and others.

On Sunday, September 17, our 10:30 service will be Hymns in the Limbs at the Pavilion at Little Walnut Park.
